Counselling

Meet DOm

A qualified counsellor, registered with the Australian Counselling Association and based in Geelong.

Dom cares about meaningful conversations and getting to know your story — the parts you share easily and the bits that take a little longer. She knows that loving your life and finding it bloody hard can both be true. She brings warmth, humour and honesty to counselling, with room for the things you carry quietly or struggle to say out loud.

Her approach is grounded in person-centred counselling and the belief that nobody knows your life quite like you do. Sometimes, though, having the space to explore things from a different perspective can help us understand ourselves a little better.

Dom's style is a little less traditional, with a conversational, down-to-earth approach that makes room for you to show up however you are. She values individuality, choice and the freedom to find your own way, without feeling pressured to fit someone else's idea of who you should be.

Her areas of interest and experience include anxiety, low mood, self-worth, alcohol and other drug use, ADHD, relationships, grief and navigating life's changes. But life doesn't always fit neatly into categories, and neither do the things we might need support with.

About MindHaus

I’ve always thought of the mind a little like a house.

Full of different levels. Familiar rooms and forgotten ones.

Secret doors, unexplored passages, places filled with light and others we’ve kept closed for a long time.

Every part holds something — our experiences, relationships, memories, patterns, hurt, hope and the things we’ve learnt along the way just to get through.

Making sense of the paths that brought you here — and perhaps finding a few you didn’t know existed.

That’s MindHaus.

To me, counselling isn’t about walking in and deciding what needs fixing.

Some things need exploring.

Understanding the rooms you keep finding yourself in.

Discovering why certain doors have been closed.

A space to explore what’s there, understand how it came to be, and decide what you want to create from here.

No perfect minds. No perfectly put-together people.

Maybe it’s not about becoming someone new. Maybe it’s about understanding who’s been there all along.
